How To Choose Your eBook Topic
Choosing an eBook topic has always been an interesting subject.
There are so many variables and considerations, so many things
to think about that most people get confused and give up before
they ever get started.
There are a few points which can lead us on to finding the solution.
Potential eBook authors need to consider these points and use them
as indicators to help them choose a worthwhile topic.
Never write about something that has no resale value.
It is a completely pointless exercise, if the potential ain’t there the
sales won’t be either. Do your homework, use Google and /or other
Search Engines to search for keywords that are popular.
The search results will indicate if the keyword (topic) is popular and
worth more research. For instance, search for something like
“How to breed Spiders”and you will see that there are many search
results, which you may have thought that there wouldn’t be.
Try the search term ‘Golf’ though and you will find that there are many
more, millions in fact. Good search terms usually go hand in hand with
popular topics, though not always.
I know what’s going through your head now, how do I compete?

Well, Search Engines only indicate how many product pages are available for a particular search term. Try to find a few good search terms on Google for your chosen topic and make a note of them.
Our next step is to use another Marketing company, Clickbank, they are an affiliate marketing company. their process works like this–
Producers of original products list their products on Clickbank and
would be Affiliate marketers take the products and promote them for a fee decided on by the product creator. Usually anything from 50% upwards.
Both the product creators and the affiliates benefit from this arrangement.
The site also serves our purpose because we can search the Clickbank
marketplace to help us with our research.
Log into Clickbank.com and go to the Marketplace tab, you don’t need to
be a member. Take each of your chosen keywords or phrases in turn and
enter them into the search box, you can use ” ” to surround your search terms
to cut down on the number of unrelated terms if you wish.
By the way, you can also do this in the Search Engine search box as well.
When the results appear take particular notice of the ‘Grav’ terms at the
bottom of each entry, these indicate how well the product is doing, any ‘Grav’
at ten or over indicates that the product is doing very well indeed.
When you find a relevant product here, make some notes on the keywords
and also take a look at the Sales page, remember you have to write a sales
page for your product at some stage and you can learn a lot by taking a peek
at other sales pages that are doing well.
You can copy the sales pages to your hard drive and look at them later if need be.
Sales pages are an indication of how well the product sells, a good product with
a poor sales page will not sell as well as a poor product with a good sales page
but that’s another story.
